I provide clinical supervision and consultation for mental health professionals, including Idaho LPC supervision, new graduate therapist consultation, individual consultation for clinicians, and a free monthly group consultation. • I provide clinical supervision for Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) in Idaho working toward their LCPC licensure. My supervisory approach emphasizes ethical practice, authenticity, and the development of each supervisee’s unique therapeutic voice. Supervision is collaborative and reflective, offering space to explore clinical cases, professional identity, and general practice concerns through an evidence-based, trauma-informed lens. My goal is to support both your professional growth and the quality of care you provide to your clients.

  • Transitioning from graduate school into clinical practice can feel both exciting and overwhelming. I offer consultation for new graduate clinicians (within one year before or two years after graduation) to provide added support during this important transition. Consultation sessions may focus on advocating for yourself in the workplace, navigating documentation, preventing burnout, finding the right job fit, or exploring private practice.

For clinicians seeking ongoing support, I also offer a New Graduate Consultation Package, which includes multiple sessions at a reduced rate along with practical handouts and resources to guide you as you enter the field.

FAQs:

What is the difference between clinical supervision and consultation for therapists?

Both clinical supervision and consultation provide guidance, support, and professional development for mental health clinicians, but they serve different purposes and carry different responsibilities.

Clinical supervision is a structured, evaluative relationship between a licensed supervisor and a clinician working toward a higher level of licensure, such as LPCs in Idaho pursuing LCPC licensure. Supervision includes formal accountability, regular meetings, and clinical feedback. Supervision hours are documented and signed off by the supervisor and count toward licensure requirements. Because of this evaluative and ethical responsibility, supervision sessions typically occur on a consistent schedule and may be billed at a higher rate.

Consultation, on the other hand, is a collaborative, non-evaluative relationship available to clinicians at any license level. Therapist consultation focuses on case conceptualization, clinical skill-building, professional growth, and support. While consultation may cover similar clinical topics as supervision, it does not count toward licensure hours and does not include formal oversight or evaluation. Consultation sessions may be ongoing or occasional and are often more flexible in structure and cost.

Do consultation hours count toward licensure supervision requirements?

No. Consultation hours do not count toward licensure supervision requirements. Only formal clinical supervision with an approved supervisor can be applied toward licensure hours. Consultation is designed to support professional development and clinical growth but does not replace required supervision.

Who is eligible for clinical supervision?

I provide clinical supervision for LPCs in Idaho who are working toward LCPC licensure. Supervision is offered to clinicians seeking ethical, trauma-informed guidance while meeting state licensure requirements. Please contact me to confirm eligibility and current availability.

Who can benefit from individual consultation?

Individual consultation is available to mental health clinicians at any license level, including associate and fully licensed therapists. Consultation supports case conceptualization, ethical decision-making, clinical skill development, and private practice growth.

Is consultation available outside of Idaho?

Yes. Consultation is available to clinicians located outside of Idaho, as it is a non-licensure, non-evaluative service focused on professional development and support.

By attending individual or group consultation, you are agreeing to the following terms:

  • I understand that consultations are for educational purposes only.

  • I understand that consultation hours do not count as supervision hours required for licensure.

  • I understand that group consultations are only open to mental health professionals.

  • I understand that all meetings are confidential - I agree to join meetings from a safe and private space.

  • I understand that Crescent Creek Therapy and others in group consultation are not responsible for the wellbeing of my clients.
